Ananse is one of the most important characters in West African and Caribbean legends.
Ananse wanted to own all of the stories in the world, which belonged to the god of heaven, Nyame. To get them, Nyame imposed an almost impossible condition: capture several dangerous creatures, such as a giant snake or a wild spirit.
Using his wit, Ananse managed to deceive and trap each one of them, always using his knowledge and wisdom instead of his force.
When he gave them to Nyame, he fulfilled his promise and granted him all the stories.
Now we want to contribute our creativity and ingenuity to continue telling new imagined stories…
